About Lupani

Most catalogues sort film by genre and release date. Those are facts about a film, not reasons to watch one. Lupani organises its catalogue by the things people actually choose on: the mood a film leaves behind, the texture of its world, the era it belongs to, the place it was shaped by. Every collection here is curated rather than generated on demand, which is why the catalogue is deliberately smaller than an exhaustive database.

The library currently holds 2,331 films and 1,477 series, each reviewed before it is published. Titles are connected to one another through curated tags and through a similarity model that compares how films actually feel, not just how they are labelled.

Each title is read for its themes, mood and setting, then attached to the curated collections it genuinely belongs to. Nothing is published automatically: a collection appears on the site only once enough reviewed titles support it. When a collection is too thin to be useful, it stays out of the index rather than becoming an empty page.

Film and series metadata, posters and stills are provided by The Movie Database (TMDB). Curation, collection design, similarity scoring and all editorial text on this site are Lupani's own.
