This page describes what Lupani collects, why, and who else is involved. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Analytics and usage measurement
Lupani uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful, and Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised interaction patterns such as scrolling and clicks. Both set cookies in your browser and both receive your IP address, which they use to approximate your country. We do not use this data to identify you personally and we do not sell it.
If you create an account
Accounts are optional. Everything you can read on Lupani is readable without one. If you register, we store your email address, your username and the content you create: lists, ratings, watchlist entries, reviews and comments. Authentication is handled by Supabase, which sets a session cookie so you stay signed in.
What is public
Lists you choose to publish, along with your username, are visible to anyone and can appear in search engines. Private lists stay private. Ratings and watchlist entries are never published.
Cookies
Two kinds of cookie are set: analytics cookies from the services above, and a session cookie if you sign in. You can block cookies in your browser; the site remains readable without them, but you will not be able to stay signed in.
Third parties
Google (analytics), Microsoft (Clarity), Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting) and The Movie Database (film metadata and images) all process some data on our behalf or serve content to your browser. Each operates under its own privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for your account and its content to be deleted. Deleting your account removes your profile and your lists. Write to: contact@lupani.com
